Dear JL,
You left the world today, dec 8, in 1980. And while I only started to appreciate the Beatles last year, I am so glad that I did. Your songs came to me through the movie, `Across The Universe’. Hey Jude was rendered most beautifully in this movie. You would be proud.
`Here Comes The Sun’ so inspired me that it became a theme for an event. I used `Eight Days a Week’ to perform the rock n roll with the gals. And you will be happy to know that the dance team could not agree on the song for a long while but when I played this piece, it was a unanimous choice!
More importantly, you have expressed just about every human emotion there is to be expressed with such beauty and simplicity. Paul and you could even sing “I’m a Loser” like a winner. How cool is that!
So it has been 28 years since you left but you live on in our hearts. Wherever you are, we love you!![]()
And here’s something to spread your message of PEACE
* Peace, joy and true happiness are not subjects for thought as they can only be felt
* Look for peace inside and even if all the other war ends, as long as the war within us is still raging on, we will not be at peace
* If we are at peace with ourselves, then we will have that peace, no matter what outer war is going on
* We may be more interested in making peace with our neigbours but if we are not at peace with ourselves, we are never going to make peace with anyone else, not even ourselves.
* There is only one place to find peace and that is in our hearts.
And John, we have a dream which is to have a clubhouse. We are going to call it club tiikl. One girl suggested that we put a big poster of the Beatles in the dance hall, and we will.
Bless us, k, wherever you are.
